Syncing Traverse Alpha using Movescount on Android 10
-
I bought the Traverse after the migration to SA had already been started. I never used MC and have been waiting for routes and POI sync, but it’s not looking like that will be available for the Traverse, so I’ve given up and I’m trying to use MC. I have it installed but it won’t sync with the watch. I only have a few moves on the watch because I there’s not really enough features in SA to use it for more than that. Anyway, I wouldn’t expect sync to take very long, but I can’t seem to get it to sync. It just spins and spins. I’ve restarted the phone, killed the app, cleared cache, etc. and it just seems to never finish. I’ve let it sit for 10 mins or more while I went and did some other things. So I’m looking for advice:
- Has anyone used MC on Android 10? I’m using a Pixel 4. Does it work?
- How long should it take to sync with MC?
Thanks,
Rob

I use MCapp in Android10 without issues.
first, uninstall SA (if you don’t use it, it will avoid some issues of connection)
second, do your watch successfully synced with MCapp or not ? if not repair again from scratch, forgetting the app in the watch, and deleting watch in android BT settings. -
And when pairing, you need to do it through MC app itself, not through Android BT device management.

Thanks for the replies. I managed to get it to sync. Just kept playing with it until it finally worked. I ended up unpairing it repairing a few times. I think it took about 15 mins to sync there first time though. Who knows, it’s working now.
