@ldxmsg ale ten ekran jest właśnie do powiadomień z telefonu i takie jest jego przeznaczenie .chyba że się mylę.

It also takes you to the alarms page (if you have one set) with only a tap on the alarm. Slightly shorter process than sustained pressure on button or screen to open the context options menu or button presses/scrolling to get to Settings.

I’m not arguing against its current purpose; rather, that it has potential to be more useful than it currently is.

@brunoh I am not sure there is sufficient memory for the watch to run all of that at the same time, but I am not sure.
-
@brad_olwin If it’s a memory issue, I wish there was a way to bring up a couple of indicators. Something you could configure yourself.

A function claimed for a long time has been integrated at garmin (14.72): an ULTRARUN sport mode to manage stops or refueling stations without stopping the stopwatch (time continues to pass) but by stopping the GPS (distance).
Choice between the optional functions either “Lap + Rest” or “Rest only”: by choosing this mode, after pressing Lap, the total elapsed time and the time spent in “stop” are displayed on the screen (this allows you to control the duration of the shutdown).
Press Lap again and the normal display resumes with the total time and the GPS reactivated.
Extra! When at Suunto? -
@rob33 I would always forget to hit lap when I left an aid station. I go back through my gps tracks to estimate times spent at aid. I often have a lot more to deal with than worry about what my watch is doing. However, I do not race with crew or pacers so having a crew might make this easier to remember.
-
@rob33 auto lap disabled, hit lap when entering aid station, press again when leaving.
I know distances between aid stations so am really just focused on the lap distance from that point ignoring total distance during the race. Afterwards can always edit if there is drift or something egregious when I’m just standing around.

If the watch serves your purpose you didn’t made a mistake of buying it.
But yes we always want more -
@andré-faria the thing who make me affraid is the last post about screen issue. Honestly for me it’s an investissement, it’s not a cheap watch so i’m a bit anxious and i’ve the feeling other brand are more invested with communication. And they let user do what they want with their product. It’s bot normal i can’t share my data with the app i want especially HR. But after i’m happy when i use it. So it’s not to bad
-
@stromdiddily the idea is to stop the “false” distances when you are stopped. . to gain in comfort and precision

Extra! When at Suunto? That sounds cool but what’s wrong with just creating a lap when at the aid stations ? That’s what I do before entering the AS and when leaving. It’s simple and i don’t need to wait for a feature that might never be implemented

Can we expect a Tactical watchface look ?
And the ability to “turn off” the screen when we want to preserve it. And keep batterie for long hike -
@g287-sf i have recently tried backlight toggle mode while on the hike. It worked one time out of three to be generous. I would love to see another option to keep the scree lit up.
-
@g287-sf You can adjust a custom battery mode to automatically disable the screen when the watch isn’t touched in 10 seconds.
Is this what you’re looking for? -
@дима-мельниченко If you want to keep the backlight on during an activity, you can select it from the activity options before you start.
-
I ask here because i don’t find a solution and think it can be a good option to have the possibiliy to zoom more than 50m when following a track.
Monday i take wrong track few times because i can’t zoom more. It can be better something like 5m, 20m and 30m like on outdoor GPS.
It can help when we don’t know the place. -
@surfboomerang yes exactly ! For the watch mode especially. I find how to do it for activities.
-
@g287-sf Ah, not possible without keeping the watch perfectly still.
Also I doubt if it would preserve a lot of battery in watch mode.
