Is it true that the Polar H10 sensor kit works on a Suunto Ambit3 sport watch. I could buy this sensor at a good price, please help.

@jahtba Since the H10 supports also TWO BT connections AND ANT+ it works great for all new Suunto Models and also i.e. for the Ambit 2 (I’m using this combination)

@johann-fuehrer agree. For me, the dual-BT support is something I really miss in OH1 😞 I use mostly OH1 as it’s more comfortable to wear and readings are incredibly accurate as for optical HR reader. I pretty much retired my H10 (still, best chest HR monitor in the market!). If only Polar released a new version of OH1 with dual-BT. I use Polar sensors with SSSWHRBaro and both work like a charm.

The only issue I have is when swimming - the chest strap connection gets broken (BT doesn’t work underwater and chest usually is underwater). Unfortunately, Suunto can’t use cached data from Polar strap (I guess it’s a per-brand limitation). With Suunto, using OH1 (worn on goggles) in such case makes more sense (head is more often over the surface of the water than chest).

Anyway, H10 is a great piece of equipment!

@jsr184 It would be nice to have OH1 with dual-BT support and 24h battery life 😉
