[Resolved] Suunto app on 2 mobil phone
-
Hello,
I have two mobile phones: one professional an IPhone, one personal an Android. Is it possible to have the suunto’s application on both phones with the same account?
Thanks for feedback -
@sylvain73 yes. But you can only have one watch paired to one phone. That is because the watch can only trust one phone.
-
ok, but with one watch paired on one phone, I can unpaired it and switch to the other phone, if I want no? Of course by pairing it with the new phone. So I can switch from one phone to another phone until the watch is paired to the right phone selected ?
-
@sylvain73 yes you can
-
so now for me the most difficult is to get the android version and to be sure to use the same data account. I’m witing a feedback from suunto about this issue.
-
@sylvain73 why is it difficult ? Perhaps I can help.
-
in fact I have an Iphone where I have the beta suunto app. I use the account data of the movescount account excepted my mail address to get the notifications. In fact I use my professionnal mail address.
And now if I get the app on my personnal android and so where I can check my personnal mail address to get the notifications of updating. I would like to modifiy my mail address to get the notifications on my personal mail address.
And sorry but I don’t understand why they need may ggogle play data… -
@sylvain73 I get your issue. Please contact beta@suunto.com for the modification of the email.
To answer your question about Google account, since it’s an Android app you need to install it via Google play so it’s valid and it does not have a lot malware etc. So for Android a Google account is needed.
However to help you out , all these email addresses have nothing to do with your movescount email.
The emails for iOS or Android or just for the surveys are only to get you access to the apps and provide feedback.
Does this help?

Hi guys,
Next week I will be part of the Android testers and I am happy with that as I have an Android phone. However at home I use an Ipad so will be happy to get the Apple app as well.
Any clue on when more beta testers will be added for Apple devices? -
@nicolasp have you registered for the iOS right? Then if yes next week. We manually process the registrations so expect it to happen soon.
-
Yes I have.
Excellent news. Thanks @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos -
ok, so what I understand is that:
-for my Iphone I can register my profesional mail address to get the updating notifications.
-for my personal android I canan register my personal mail address to get the updating notifications.
However, yesterday I received the following mail from suunto and I don’t how to proceed to do this registration.
The mail:“Hi Registree,
Thank you for registering for our beta testing. This email is sent to all who are not yet added to the Google Play Group.
You have signed in for Suunto app beta. We have started to roll out invitations and have now noticed an issue.
Please reply to this email ONLY if this email account is not the one bound to your Google Play account and let us know the correct email. If this is the one, just ignore this email and wait until you get the invitation, We start to add new emails into the Google group again during next week.
It seems like we need to have the correct email used for Google Play and usually it is a gmail address.
If we add this email to Google Play and it is not your Google Play account email, you are not able to join the Group and if you are not in the Group the opt-in link for the installation will not work.
Best Regards
Jouko Tyni
Community manager, Suunto app beta”
And so it’s not clear from my side

@sylvain73 I think that is correct. You can if you like send an email to beta@suunto.com with the email addresses you want to use for each platform (iOS and Android) and me and @Jouko-from-Suunto will take care of this. Does this sound good?
-
ok, thank I do this
-
@sylvain73 sorry if it has been unclear. iOS we add pretty much all who register. For Android I’ve added maybe 1/3 now and have notices the issue with the emails we have, so I’m trying to fix that by modifying the registration form to state about the email attached to users Google Play account.
If we add emails that are not used in Google Play you may join but are not able to install too easily. Have to see if we can get rid of the Google group stuff when this beta is changed to open beta. The Google Group seems to be really confusing to a lot of users and makes the installation of the app complicated.
So copying those Google Play emails from the replies (>80 and counting) now and adding more people to the Group soon.
