Instant HR - Initial Lag / No Marker
-
Hi all,
Could not find anything here as well as in the manual. But maybe someone can answer my questions.
Thing is, the instant HR of the SSSWHR seems to display an HR value that has been stored (maybe last reading from Daily HR) and only after a while displays the actual HR. This seems logical as it needs some time to get an “accurate” reading.
But:
- Does anyone know how long this “lag” is?
- Is there a way I can see that the displayed value is the actual one and not some stored one?
- Why is a value displayed at all instead of a “-” or something showing that no measurement is available yet?
It is just confusing to not know if or not the watch is already showing my actual HR or not…
Thanks and cheers

I think you see the last value from daily HR then just wait till this value changes to see your current. IF the HR is far in the past there will be a circle around the heart icon, showing that it has no clue were to start with and takes more time .

IMHO it should not display a value as long as it does not measure it (for old value we have daily HR).
It is just confusing to wait for about 10 sec and look at it to wait for a change. Of course not that tragic but I like detailsBut in the end thanks for clarification that there is no indicator.
Maybe will be done at some point (or they update the manual to understand how what the screen really displays).Thanks mate

@fhegnor I think if I dont have daily HR on it shows – and the heard icon has a circle. No?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I confirm

Never saw a circle as i have daily HR on. Will check next time I take off the watch for some time.
Nevertheless would be nice to have such information in the manual.
