@Durri sounds logic to me, how could you connect to external devices in flight mode? Think mathematically as two sets, one including the other. Power saving mode includes airplane mode, while the other direction does not hold, and this is quite logic. The two modes have different use cases, and are both useful. You should simply not select both, as one implies the other. However, the fact that a user can select both at the same time is some kind of UI failure. Best approach would be for power saving to shadow airplane mode, so you can’t select both.
-
@isazi I understand what you are writing, they should fix it.
-
One thing!
Power saving mode is automatically disabled when you start and activity and that is the big diff here.
With power saving you can keep the watch in a low power state and it will enable all preferences before you go to run meaning connections to sensors etc, while flight mode is flight mode.
Flight mode disables ONLY connections for All time.
Power saving disables more than that including 24/7 HR and so on.
You can put both on top because they can easily overlap the use case scenario.

Main feature that I would like is the ability to lock buttons apart from retaining the ability to activate the backlight or change zoom level on navigation like on the Ambit. Apologies if this is mentioned somewhere above…or if there is a way that I’ve missed.
-
@be1t0n for the zoom thingy its not possible yet.
You can though lock the buttons with lower button hold, and then use the middle button to light up (or any button)
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Doesn’t pressing the middle button just cycle through screens though? Not much help if you’re navigating a track and need to check. On the Ambit you could press the lower right button and the light would activate without the “screen locked” alert popping up. Would just be a nice option to have. I find the "zoom thingy is a bit more of an annoying one as it requires an unlock before you can do anything.
-
@be1t0n you can do that as well. (press lower button)
You can also hold a little the middle and wont switch screens.
Since the buttons are locked you can also use the upper or lower to light the screen up right?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
this whole button behaviour would be awesome to receive a little more customization… I think it would not hurt too much.
I don’t know how complex it is to setup, but I assume many users would appreciate and make use of it -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Well I hope more people voice these features! These are almost exactly what I would like to see in m S9B
-
@Jonathan-Schwarz
Zombie notification fix (I have 1 notification that I can’t get rid of)
Improved battery life in “everyday wear” mode (I lost 14.6%/24hr)
More watch faces and/or customizable fields
Ability to remove breadcrumb display from indoor type activities
Ability to configure more than 3 screens for an activity -

You mean to not have to have it there in the configuration, right? Because when you do an indoor activity you can simply set navigation to off and you don’t have to see the breadcrumb display anymore.

If I set navigation to off while running indoor then when I do an outdoor running I have to enable beadcrumb
-
@isazi True we can turn off navigation when you start an activity, but regardless, it still takes up an extra screen in your Sport Profile and when we are already limited to 4 screens… it would be nice to just have it as a an option to remove/add it at the point of starting any activity, regardless of whether you add a breadcrumb navigation screen to the Sport Profile or not. Without having to add a dedicated screen in the Sport Profile (much like my old Ambit3 Vertical where you can add navigation to any sport profile from within an activity)
-
@Jonathan-Schwarz I know, and I agree with you. Just wanted to clarify your point, or better have you clarify it.
-
There is issue of Outlook notification doesn’t appear. No issue with Gmail and other email Apps. Hope get a solution
-
@TELE-HO I would love to hear what you’ve discovered about the battery life and what features enabled/disabled change that! I also would like to prolong the day-to-day battery life. Bluetooth on and frequent syncing are not necessary for me - only before and after an activity or when I have made changes in SA. I don’t have notifications enabled
-
@Jonathan-Schwarz
I’ve switched off 24/7 HR, sleep tracking and notification…and no backlight.
SA starts syncing automatically when you get your watch closer to the phone… so carrying your phone always in the pocket helps a bit
With this setup I get around 0.3%/h without activity, of course.It seems that Suunto might release an SA version eventually that only syncs to your watch when you open SA and not in the background
-
I’m missing the option to lock the watch in regular daily use (not activity)
-
@Oktan
I would like to have this, too! strongly!
… but never saw any comment or rumors that this is planned…
in general I see more useful improvements on the watch FW side than on the SA side -
To be honest. I think we will only see GPS firmware updates (if any) and maybe a bugfix, but unfortunately no new features.
I hope someone proves me wrong.
