So when I tried the Suunto app I noticed it doesn’t use the same maps as Movescount. Movescount have the best and most detailed maps, with MANY more smaller paths than Google, perfect for planning routes. What is up with this? Who supply the maps for Movescount, and can you use the same provider for Suunto app/web?
Oh, and no web interface is the worst, even if you have a half baked solution of Sports tracker or what it’s called.

@Marcus-Lilliecrona its the same maps map box
-
On the web interface sportstracker?
-
that is not a web for Suunto app
-
perhaps take a look here at least what I do for route planning
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos That is not what the support at Suunto said:
“Hi Marcus. Thank you for choosing Suunto. The Suunto App has a pc interface which is sports tracker. You can use your Suunto App credentials in logging in.” -
@Marcus-Lilliecrona I dont know what to say about that. I am not Suunto support.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks, but now I do
- Plan route on Movescount web.
- Sync to watch.
Seems much more convenient that using four other websites. And it should stay that easy.

You can just use one, you’re not obliged to go through all the steps
-
@Marcus-Lilliecrona Sport tracker is an app to track the sport you do. SportTracker is one of them. So, sport tracker <> SportTracker.
-
@iRenton Yes, and Suunto told me SportTracker is the web interface of Suunto App. But it is lacking in my opinion.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos And I am happy to see Suunto app use the same maps as Movescount. Here’s hoping they create a web interface as well since it’s more than a bit fidgety to use the phone to create routes.
