      @Rokelly you are connecting to a 2.4 ghz network?

        @larrybbaker 2.5ghz. At least that what it states on the router.

          @Rokelly Make sure the SSID is not hidden and some special flags are not set on the router. This setting made me problems: “802.11r Fast Transition”. I needed to disable it on my router for several devices to work. Also authentication should be WPA2-PSK
          And I run into my self-made problem by having only specific MAC addresses allowed and forgot to add the watch in the list.
          That’s all I have in mind…

            Hello, I have exactly the same problem—Race 2 with the latest update.

            I’ve never had any issues before—today I tried to load maps, and the watch says “Connection to wireless network failed.” In the app, the network is set up successfully.

            I’ve tried the following: removing the watch and reconnecting it, removing the network and reconnecting it, a soft reset, and even downgrading to the previous version .18. Nothing worked. Any tips, or is this a known issue right now?

              @9ppuser Any changes in your network? Are you sure you don’t have MAC address restrictions or a limit on how many devices are allowed to connect? Has to be a network that is supporting 2.4 ghz.

                Same problem here, no router changes, after update V2 and R2 the same network error, no chance to download or delete any maps 😱

                  @UjcoCZ Tried now again on my newly updated Vertical 2 - WLAN not working anymore. I created an open access point which is also not connecting. So latest update crashed WLAN. I will open a support ticket, please - all of the ones having issues - do so also to make Suunto aware that this is broken.
                  @isazi is there a chance that you bring some attention to Suunto on this?

                      Same problem here after update of version in V2 and R2 for downloading maps. Today I tried it on my R2 and I have the same problem, it does not download or delete the maps from the watch. I have tried deleting the network and adding a different one, but the connection error continues.

                        @isaac.net sorry for double post but since the other post was talking about a different software version I thought i should open another one. Apologies.

                          Could be an App or map servers problem?
                          WiFi configuration is done in the App.

                            @Wenzudeg that was maybe not the worst idea. I reverted my FW right now and still have the same issue. I now have tried:

                            2.56.18
                            2.56.28

                            Maybe it’s really not the firmware but some connection via WLAN to the Suunto Map download server… then the error message is misleading …

                              @jjpaz this!
                              In the Spanish forum it was told that it is a server problem and Suunto is working on it.

                                @johann.fuehrer Thank you.

                                What is strange is I’ve been using the same 2.5ghz router for the past 18 months and everything has been okay. II only experienced the issue with the watch not being able to connect to wifi when trying to download a map two days ago. Software 2.50.28 and 2.50.26 may have created this bug ??

                                  @9ppuser Have you tried to downgrade the watch software to see if the problem exists with an older software version?

                                      @Rokelly it seems that it is a Suunto server issue. no need to downgrade FW (I did - no difference)
