The best race pacing app for a 10k?
-
Hi all,
What’s the best app to pace an upcoming 10k race?
Should I go with Ghost Runner, or Maxxi Pacer or a different one?

I am using Race Pacer for simple road race. The screen is easy to read and you can adjust whether you plan a positive, flat or negative split. -
10km I just run.
I use pacing for everything that starts at 21km or so.

@Steven-Hambleton did not try any of those, but i would suggest using none and just choose a pace you want to run at and have 1km autolap to know where you need to adjust every km. That is usualy my way of running on road.

@egika if you are somehow experienced, yes, but he is not. When I was a beginner, I would have been happy if my watch could guide me a bit.

I’d create a structured workout with the pacing strategy I wanted to employ (i.e. negative splits vs. positive splits), but if you’re unused to making and working with structured workouts I wouldn’t make my first attempt a race.
