Ocean 2026 Updates Promised, no information after months
-
Hi All
Who else is wondering what happened to all the features discussed to be coming to the Ocean in January 2026 on the official video from Suunto wrapping up Q1 2026 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh0gD05DngU&t=2363s
This was then pointed again in Q2 wrap up video, but yet we still don’t see any updates that was discussed to be coming “soon” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2QCoDLY5kQ&t=41s
As from my previous post, I mentioned the functionality of Drill mode for swimming and it was advised that it will be in the next update, that it was not, @egika and @dimitrios-kanellopoulos do you know what is going on with the Ocean updates and why its not being attended to as was described in the official Suunto YouTube videos.
I have also noted that the Ocean has not received the new HR accuracy update with the new algorithm as on the Race and Race s, and that would also have made its way in the previous update, to improve accuracy?
Kind Regards

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thank you very much for the update. Hopefully all these features that was mentioned in both info session for Q1 and Q2 gets merged into a single update for the Ocean.
The Ocean is probably Suunto’s best watch based on all my previous models and the fact that Suunto recommended the Ocean above the Vertical 2 and Race 2 for my use case. I just hope that the Software can start matching the product with more regular updates, especially on the sports functions, as I do get that the dive functions need more testing. SO almost having two lines of updates running, This will ensure that regular Ocean sport users are not left behind for months on end. If this could be suggested to Suunto that would be great.
I have reached out to Suunto for helping with testing as well, but never hear anything back from them.
Let’s hope to see improvements at Suunto for the Ocean models soon.
Kind Regards
Reino
