Watch crashed at the start of a 5K race

I can send logs if you need them, but this was incredibly frustrating, to say the least. This was a 5K I was training for and hoping to do my best and my watch
Do send the logs and do send an email to support@suunto.com (from the same email address as is configured in your suunto account)

Crashed on me again, this time executing the following intervals.icu workout:
Warmup - Easy 65-80% 20m Reps 10x - Run 96-99% 3m - Rest 30s Cooldown - Easy 65-80% 20mI was about 8-9 minutes in the warmup when I checked my watch and noticed that it was on the home watch face. Tried starting the workout again, it crashed, and powered off. I stopped and dug into the settings, when I noticed I had two S+ apps enabled. I guess starting a S+ Guides workout counts as a third S+ app and crashes the watch. I disabled both S+ apps, restarted the workout, and it behaved normally.
I know the S+ app limit is 2 on the Race S, so it would be nice to have the watch inform me that I can’t execute the S+ Guides workout, because 2 S+ apps are already enabled. Hard crashing the watch is an unfortunate bug that should probably be addressed.
Curiously, I pulled up the run activity, enabled 2 S+ apps, pressed “Start”, then while it was running, tried enabling a 3rd S+ app to see what would happen. Rather than failing gracefully, or just refusing to let me enable it altogether, the watch crashed.

@atoponce Race S can only do two, not three SuuntoPlus apps… Guides to count as apps in that regard.

Then shouldn’t it disallow a third app/Guide to be selected? I’d expect if one tried, then an error would occur, something to the effect of “At limit. Disable one of your other SuuntoPlus apps to enable this one.”

Have you send a bug report to support@suunto.com with your reproduce steps?

I was asking what the expected behavior was. I have not tried to run more than two SuuntoPlus apps/Guides at any time, so no idea what the behavior actually is.
If, however, the expected beavhior is “don’t tell the user they passed a limit, just crash when you try to do the session,” then that seems suboptimal to me.
-
@raven the expected behavior should be that when you try to enable the third Suunto plus app, a yellow message appears on the screen to alert you that you have reached the maximum.
At least on my Race it works like that

@atoponce I will report this, it is clearly a bug if the watch allows you to select more than 2 S+ things (apps+guides) on the Race S.

@isazi Thanks! New crash today out on an easy run. I uninstalled all S+ apps last night and was not executing a Guides workout. Just “Running” -> “Start”. Crashed about 7 km into the run. I’ve sent logs to Suunto again.

@2b2bff Yes, I’m aware. I would expect the watch to refuse executing a 3rd app, regardless if it’s an app or Guides workout, rather than hard crash and reboot.
