@prakalejas I have had Suunto watches for 11 or so years. Never damaged the glass in years of daily use. So you put a protective film/glass on

I agree with another comment. The protective glass is far more fragile than the sapphire crystal used in the watch which is actually extremely scratch resistant. If you didn’t have the protective glass in the first place, I bet your watch would be fine.
Personally I wouldn’t want to hide a beautiful Suunto watch behind this ugly looking case. But it is your choice.
