Suunto HR Belt unreliable with 9 Peak Pro since firmware update - anyone can confirm?

@Pyranya Here is the example from my run, a 20 min walk today was fine as well. V2 and S9PP paired to SHRM2

Walk with Run 2 OHR and S9PP with SmartSensor, these don’t match as well as I would have expected.

I’m not sure, but you can see from the graph that there’s a regular drop in heart rate at that point. It seems to me that this happens every time the connection is lost.
During this run, I made sure to maintain a consistent pace throughout. The first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes were slower than the 20 minutes in between.

@Pyranya have you checked the R-R plot of your heart rate data? The strap may be not working anymore, and that is not fixed by changing a battery.

@Pyranya it is not in Suunto App. Export your file to an external service, such as Runalyze or quantified-self.io and check it there. If it is very noisy, then there is some issue with your strap.

@Pyranya
indeedit looks ok at the beginning, then it goes bananas

What’s that sample duration ? -

I’m going to test the HR Belt with a different phone and a different app and then see what the results look like.

@Brad_Olwin It seems to me there are some pretty big (like huge) HR spikes on the V2. I am not sure I am understanding what you have written. Are both the V2 and the S9PP paired to the HRM2 at the same time? If so, why are there big spikes on one, and why don’t the traces match exactly?
