I will try to explain something. My English is not the best.
I am not dissatisfied with Suunto as a watch, but rather with Suunto as a software company.
Suunto run has qualities: very good gps, build quality, appearance, watch size, the screen is large enough and legible, the current pace seems reliable to me.
But then come the little things that spoil the impression. It’s not a problem that the watch has a bug. Every manufacturer has them. The problem is when it’s small, obvious things that go uncorrected for months. Also, I don’t understand that some options are not implemented. This undermines confidence in the product.
I haven’t owned other Suunto watches, but I got the impression that the Suunto run was an unfinished product.

@BokiRun Hi, I am sorry, but what exactly are you sharing here? Any support needed? Any specific issues? I can see your concerns, but without any details or questions, your message is just your ‘sigh’.

          Your English is perfectly fine.

But then come the little things that spoil the impression. It’s not a problem that the watch has a bug. Every manufacturer has them. The problem is when it’s small, obvious things that go uncorrected for months.

Could you elaborate what little things? Maybe we can help you with those, or maybe Suunto is reading this, it always helps to provide examples of what you are talking about.

Also, I don’t understand that some options are not implemented. This undermines confidence in the product.

Which options? And how they undermine confidence? Are you not confident that stuff is going to be implemented, or you cannot trust the product because something is not implemented?

I used to have exactly the same opinion as you. Over the years I’ve used watches from different brands, and I kept comparing features, software updates, and bug fixes.

But eventually I realized something. A watch doesn’t need dozens of features to help you become a better runner or athlete. Sometimes a simple, reliable watch that records your workouts consistently is all you really need.

Of course, it’s nice when a company keeps improving its software, but in the end, our progress comes more from consistent training than from new features on the watch.

            9 Baro → 9 Peak Pro → Vertical Solar → Race → Race 2 → Run → Vertical 2+Suunto spark

@OutdoorMan *hit happens; in this specific case people involved were offered a free replacement.
