      Hello everyone,

I’m coming here from Reddit after being advised to share some suggestions regarding Suunto gear.

I apologize in advance if this isn’t the right place or if my translation is poor.

I recently bought the Suunto Race 2, switching from a Garmin; I really like it, but a few minor issues regarding ergonomics bother me.

I’ll start with a few points, and you can contribute to the discussion by commenting on things that interest you.

1 - The menus don’t loop. I did notice that, thanks to the latest update, the numbers now loop, but the menus still don’t (unless I’m experiencing a bug on my end?).

2 - Unable to use certain watch-related menus in the app while navigating the watch’s menus.

3 - Alarms for different days of the week (I didn’t see the option to set different alarms for different days of the week).

4 - Losing the connection to external HRM sensors, with the watch failing to take over using its own sensor.

5 - A nice little feature would be having estimated race times for the 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and marathon in the app (not crucial, but it would be nice!).

It might not seem like much to some, but I feel therecommon-sense aspects—like the user experience when cycling through menus—that should just be a given. I switched to Suunto for the simplicity, but I still expect a certain baseline standard.

Thanks for reading; I’ll share more thoughts as I continue to explore the world of Suunto.

      Happy training, everyone.

        Hi @thomxs_
I came from garmin 965 and to be honest I struggled a. Lot in the start.

So for menus its just like that.

For estimate of time race you can find it under progress however for me its not great its give way way faster time from what I can actually achieve, you do need to do 3-4 outdoor runs before it give you the estimation

For the external HRM its happens the same to me many disconnections.

I found the watch work best with HRM600 or Tymewear vital pro ( for different runs) , for my wahoo and polar does not work at all with the watch. Another thing is you need to switch of the heart rate during activities from menu to work the best as for some reason watch prefer OHR over Belt.

For the alarms if you go for alarms under new alarm and repeat you can customize it there. I did heard that it was great for some people probably bug, I personally dont use alarms on my watch

        Hope it helps

1: The main widgets menu does not loop, because you enter it through scroll up swipe, or crown rotate. Down enters the Sport modes list. So how would you make it loop without changing the control logic?
Other menus, e.g. Settings, are linear as well, but I don’t see that as a problem when you have a digital crown and a touch screen available to quickly navigate the menu structure.
One can also argue that looping text menus can be perceived more complex and confusing due to infinite length.

3: Under specific alarm, use Repeat > Customize to select days, then scroll back up and press Select

5: Available in the watch under Progress widget

          Race S
