NEW SUUNTOPLUS APP: STRENGTH TRACKER ๐Ÿšจ

      IMG_8770.jpeg

Iโ€™ve been working on another app focused on one of the most requested areas by the community: strength training.

๐Ÿ’ช Strength Tracker automatically counts your reps using the watch accelerometer and allows you to track every set directly from your Suunto watch.

      Key features:

      โœ… Automatic rep counting

โœ… Heart rate monitoring during sets

      โœ… Mechanical Load Score calculation

โœ… Last set information visible during the workout

โœ… Every set saved as a manual lap for later analysis in the Suunto App

โœ… Quick weight and rep configuration from the watch

โœ… Support for multiple muscle groups

Unlike heart rate, which often doesnโ€™t reflect the true intensity of strength training, Load Score provides a better indication of the actual mechanical work performed during your session.

This is another example of how SuuntoPlus Apps can help fill feature gaps and bring useful tools to athletes while we continue pushing for future native implementations.

๐ŸŽฅ Check out the video and let me know what you think!

Thank you for this, this is certainly a step up for strength training experience on Suunto. And good point on N.B. regarding the touchscreen! I had a senior moment and forgot that you need to access custom battery mode for it ๐Ÿ™‚

Is it the Suunto firmware acting up due to multiple timers or what, because more often than not, I seem have this issue that HR graph stops updating when I have both Strength exercises and this app activated. So far I havenโ€™t figured out if activating the exercises app first before going through the selections on this app is the culprit for it or vice versa.

@Joaquin thanks for the great app ๐Ÿ™‚ really appreciate it.
              have two remarks tho ๐Ÿ™‚

              1. it would be good to have numeric input for reps, like for weight - right now if I do some hard to detect sets I have to tap crazy amount of times on + button to correct it
              2. detection algorithm seems to be not sensitive enough or I donโ€™t know how to move ๐Ÿ˜„ today it did not detect single rep during KB swings, but somehow managed to detect 3 reps during single set of side-plank ๐Ÿ™‚
