      Hi Dev-Team, hi everyone,

I’m a freeride guide and I’ve been using the Suunto Race 2 for navigation all season—hiking/running in summer, ski touring in winter. I really like the map features, but there’s one thing that would genuinely change my workflow:

The avalanche terrain layer already exists in the Suunto App, and I use it constantly. But out on the mountain, when I need it most, I’m checking my phone instead of my wrist. With gloves on, in bad visibility, or when I’m moving fast between decisions—that phone check breaks my focus.

Here’s what I’m imagining: I’m standing on the ridge, looking at the slope in front of me. I glance at my wrist, see the avalanche terrain right there on the map. Decision made, go or no-go, no phone needed.

I realize there’s probably a lot on your plate, but I can’t help thinking: if that avalanche terrain layer made it to the watch, it would solve exactly the problem I’m facing right now.

Would this be something you’d consider for the Race 2?

      All the best,
      Georg
