I recently bought a Suunto run as a replacement for my old Garmin Vivoactive 3. I’m pleased with the Suunto Run and the GPS is clearly much better. The heart rate monitor on the watch seems quite inaccurate, so I tried connecting my Garmin HRM200 chest strap heart rate monitor. It was connected to my Garmin using Bluetooth and I expected it to work with the Run. It seemed to connect very easily via Bluetooth and the watch says its connected. Unfortunately the heart rate on activities is blank. I know that the HRM is transmitting as the lights are flashing and the garmin can pick it up. I also know that its transmitting via Bluetooth as that’s all that the Vicoactive 3 supports. Anybody else tried this? Any ideas on what I can do?

From the first day of using Suunto run I had problems with bluetooth. I have been using the watch for a long time. The watch always has some bugs, regardless of the new update. Even after this last update, some problems are still present. In the beginning, the heart rate measurement on the watch was very bad. Recent updates have improved this. I almost don’t use a heart rate monitor because it doesn’t connect to the watch anymore. Let me praise something. That’s the precision of gps.
I was a Garmin user. But I don’t want to go back to Garmin again.
