Suunto Ocean update 2.51.28

@ltsss
Same here

Having tested more with a heart rate strap from another brand, I think the problem is that the update changed how accessories connect to the watch, and now they don’t reconnect after they lost connection. Before they would reconnect. This is quite a significant bug/issue that one would hope for a patch to solve.
The Suunto straps seems to have a tendency to have random interruptions and then it doesn’t reconnect. With the other brand, I’ve only had this issue when leaving the watch on my bike and going out of range and then it’s doesn’t reconnect.

Today I had first dives after software update and POD is no longer working and cannot be found (POD has 20-30 dives).
Is it just coincident and PODs battery just died or anyone else have the same issue?Wonder what is warranty procedure to test POD and replace battery? Since my region is not suunto friendly (no official repair centers), first need to rule out software problem, so I would not have to send back and forth working pod.
ps. is there warranty for battery at all?

Can someone with latest firmware confirm that POD is still recognized? Suunto service tells me, that my POD was instantly recognized without an issue, while I could not, even with hard watch reset. I need to rule out firmware bug (only change that was updated between dives).

Climb guidance issues with Suunto OCEAN after 2.51.28 update
Hi there, I have a Suunto OCEAN for about 1,5 years and everything worked pretty well, but after the 2.51.28 update I’ve noticed an issue with climbing assistance.
Just after this update, during a run I noticed that the climbing guidance does not work anymore. The watch screen just shows the climbing profile but in grey (no more colors) and the zoom between waypoints to see the next climb can be shown. It does not work on every activity that uses this feature : Run, trekking, hiking… (See photos)
I tried (multiple times) to turn off my watch, reinitialise, disconnect and reconnect it to my phone, discard and reinstall the maps but nothing improved the bug.
I have contacted the Suunto support and sent my watch in réparation, they replaced my watch but nothing changed after the configuration. So I sent it back and after 3 weeks in réparation they can be able to repair this bug and just send me back my watch and say that it can be a software issue (that I supposed at first) that their team is working on.
Does anyone have the same issues ? What can I do ?
Thanks !

@gregB it is not a problem with the watch itself, as it happens to every watch with every firmware at the moment. Should be fixed with a backend or app update.

@isazi
Hi, I search in the support forum but can’t find a topic for this issues.

Thanks for your respons !
Hop it will be fixe soon. -
@gregB I just heard that this has been fixed with the last App update (that may or may not have been released yet, probably not considering you have the issue)
