Suunto Software update Q1 (2.53.42)
-
@aiv4r @stefano-m64 pausing + ending activity right away or pausing and waiting x secs before ending will have same effect as far as the new metric reading, the difference is in the 2nd case, if you wait more than 60 secs before ending, you won’t see the countdown to 60 secs.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos or anyone else having knowledge: Please, does this mean Suunto Vertical 1 (still active product) will no longer receive any updates? No Q1-4 based bug fixies at least?
-
@thailon we are doing our best to support the v1!

@thailon I do not work for Suunto , But I’m also in the Spanish Forum, there its is said by Suunto employes that the SV1 is not discontinued, it will still receive updates as much as the hardware allows it.
I think they face some drawbacks with the SV1 (I guess related to the screen) that make that the update needs more time to be finished.
I think Suunto will find the solution and eventually everyone will be happy. Or at least is what I hope.In my case when I bought the SVTS (two years ago) I was doubting between the SV1 and SR1 and decided the SV because theoretically they have the same hardware (minus NFC chip) and I thought the SV1 is more robust for trailrunning, long hikes and outdoor activities, so I’m a bit disappointed that the SR1 had the update and the SV1 not…but I hope more sooner than later they will find the solution and we will get the update.

I’ve encountered an issue where every time I turn off the device, the pace zones get reset. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Yes this is an ongoing issue going back for a while. Custom pace zones are always reset to 06’00, 05’30, 05’00, 04’30 /km after the watch is rebooted.
Not new to this firmware update and should be finally taken note of and looked at by the team.
