Sleep tracking with an armband.
-
Just a quick question: last night I took off my watch to sleep, and to keep tracking my sleep I used the Coospo HWA on my arm. In the morning, when I checked the report in the Suunto app, it didn’t show anything—it hadn’t recorded any data. The armband was active the whole time, but it seems it didn’t maintain a connection with the watch. Did I do something wrong?

never heard that you can sleep track with an external device.
Does Coospo had an app? if the device can track sleep, probably you can find information there -
@Jose-Luis-Merino-Parra Sleep tracking is not done primarily with HR. You have to have to watch on. The watch also monitors your movements. There is no armband sleep tracking with Suunto.

@Stavrogin as far as I read somewhere in the manuals, with Suunto sleep tracking is done with movement only. No HR involved…

@Jose-Luis-Merino-Parra In addition to everyone else who has already stated how sleep works for Suunto, my understanding is that Suunto only gets data from an external HRM when you’re running an active session.
So even if you’ve connected the HRM previously so the watch knows about it, you can’t just turn the HRM on and the watch suddenly starts using that, even when the watch is being worn. You’d need to start a session, have the watch confirm it found and connected the HRM, and only then would those external readings be used.
