I’ve been using the Suunto Run for the past 3 weeks and I’m really enjoying it, but I believe there are issues Suunto could easily solve. I will focus first on the identified issues and later on the positives.

      Missing Features and Annoyances

No ETA/ETE: When following a course, there is no way to see the distance to the end (km), Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), or Estimated Time Enroute (ETE). Currently, only the distance to the next waypoint is displayed. You only get the distance to the next waypoint and that’s it.

Notifications: Screens like the “Morning Report” disappear too quickly.

Morning Report Data: It provides no information regarding HRV or HR.

Structured Workouts: Interval sessions appear at the top of sport lists and the morning report even without a defined date. If you have 10 structured workouts saved, they all appear.

Screen Timeout: When cycling with the watch on the handlebars (using a Suunto Smart Belt), the screen turns off in “Intelligent” mode. Didn’t tested with Always On" but I suspect it will be the same.

      Bugs
Navigation Alerts: Most turn-by-turn indications lack sound or vibration.

HR Spikes: The sensor still gives excessively high readings during the first 10–15 minutes of activity.

Data Mismatch: The app shows a maximum HR peak (likely from the OHR) that is not reflected in the graph (which should be using Suunto Belt data).

Remaining Ascent: This field remains blank when following a course planned via the Suunto App, regardless of the sport mode used.

Compatibility: The watch did not work with the Garmin HRM 200, despite the strap worked perfectly connected to Suunto App while I was waiting for the Suunto Run to arrive.

System Crashes: I experienced three crashes when losing GPS signal in tunnels. On one occasion, the watch restarted and stopped recording; on the other two, it ignored the HRM belt and recorded inaccurate HR data (approx. 200 bpm) from the OHR.
