    Smart heart belt disfunction

      Good evening Community,

      I’m reaching out to you today because I’m having a lot of trouble with my heart rate monitor.

      Background: I became the proud owner of a Race S + smart sensor combo in August 2024.
      I used both for about 9 months without any problem, then overnight, the belt stopped turning on. I thought it might be a battery issue, so I changed the battery, but now I’m facing a new problem : the belt turns on for a few seconds and then turns off.

      To see if it’s working on my watch, I go to Connectivity > Connected Devices, and I can see the belt, but when I select it, it takes about 30 seconds to display the heart rate and battery information. Sometimes it never happens, so I have to unpair and re-pair it.
      Same issue on the Suunto app : Setting > Activity & workout > Pair an HR sensor > Heart rate monitor > Connect HR sensor = it works for less than a minute and then stops.
      When I try to start an activity with the belt, I get a notification saying that it is connected, but when I actually start, it lasts a few seconds before it stops. It’s extremely frustrating.

      The fabric belt has always been rinsed after exercise + washed in the machine once a week. I always wear it with moistened electrodes. I read on forum that the pins could be the problem, so I tried cleaning them with a damp toothbrush, but without success.

      Are there any other tests I can do before declaring it dead :
      -Change the battery
      -Reset the connection
      -Clean the band thoroughly with soapy water

      No positive results so far 😢

      Can i get some assistance please ?
