Training Goals/Connectivity

Hi,
I’ve been using the app for a few months now and thought now was a good time to lay down some thoughts. I use the app in android with a Spartan Ultra, the app itself seems to work quite well and is pretty stable. However there are a couple of things which I don’t like. Firstly, the training goals used to have the function of switching between time spent training or distance. I prefer using distance but I don’t seem to be able to select that anymore, I can only set duration goals. Secondly the connection between watch and app seems to drop frequently, though it has been stable since Friday, fingers crossed! The Strava integration is good, glad to finally see that. In the future I’d like to be able to plot routes and set training plans in the app. I’d also like to set pace intensity as a field in a custom sports mode rather than have to set it from the watch before starting.
My biggest gripe, however, is not an app one but to do with the Spartan and the HR strap. It’s rubbish, wildly inaccurate most of the time - even with regular cleaning and a fresh battery. It’s so bad I’ve stopped using it and keep meaning ot email Suunto and complain - guess I should do it now seen as I’ve finally managed to post in the forum!

@JAHANDERSON hey we just released an update on OHR did you try it ?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos he is talking about the strap as SSU do not have OHR

Hhm, which Sport mode are you using. I just tested a running mode and could select duration vor distance as a General target…
Concerning training plans in SA, yes pleaaaase!
Edit: sorry, misunderstood you. You meant the settings - training section…

@JAHANDERSON What’s specifically wrong with the HR from the strap? Are there invalid readings? Implausible jumps? Drop-outs? Does it happen indoor or outdoor? What activities do you do with the chest HR?
A customary dumb suggestion… You do wet the chest strap, maybe even with a special strap gel, right before exercising? Chest straps can be wild during winter season because the skin gets dry and one doesn’t sweat as much.
Anyhow, without more information as to what’s wrong, it’s kind of hard to suggest anything specific.

@JAHANDERSON When you say the strap is rubbish I understand you are having issues. Mine is several years old (the sensor) and works perfectly. The straps I have to replace every 6 to 9 months as they do not last despite cleaning, etc.
