TSS has changed dramatically in last few weeks
-
My calculated TSS’s have gone down dramatically in the last few weeks. For the same exercise, despite similar heart rate and time of exercise, the TSS has gone down by about half. Either the old ones were way too high or the new ones are way too low. Anyone else have this problem lately?

@kludwig Have you checked your zones were not changed during an update?
You can also check it against a free TrainingPeaks account.

@kludwig Same here. I can more and more sports but it goes down.
But tomorrow my vertical 2 will arrive. I’ll see if it’s different there. -
Same here. Suunto support confirmed that they are working on the issue. Hoping this will be fixed in next updates.

@kludwig check HR, power and pace zones.

@Brad_Olwin said in TSS has changed dramatically in last few weeks:
@kludwig check HR, power and pace zones
I wonder how one is supposed to know what their power zones are? Most people know how to figure out their HR zones, although many still do it incorrectly. Pace zones are more difficult but can be derived from race results or a lactate threshold test. Personally I wouldn’t know if I didn’t have my lactate threshold pace from Garmin. But power zones? No idea at all how to get these right?
I think if Suunto algorithms depend on zones so much, there has to be a guided test in the watch to calculate the zones - a guided test that does everything end to end, including updating the times.
