Music control not working on Race S

I’ve a Suunto Race S & everyday I use the music control function on the watch I get the track details, but all the controls are greyed out & don’t work.
The only way to fix it is to unallow & reallow connection through my phone
Next day it’ll be back to how it was though & I have to repeat it again
I’ve checked my phone & there seems no reason, phone wise, why it should be losing control connection, so assume it’s watch end?
Using the Suunto Race S (current firmware) with a Samsung S25 Ultra
Anyone have the same thing or have any advice or tips? -
@Goatee This is a very old bug that Suunto is unwilling or unable to fix despite numerous assurances that it has been fixed.

@maszop First few weeks with the vertical 2 it didn’t work as well. That’s when I knew what I had bought. Still like it, but sometimes I wished it worked. It only works a few times

I have had this issue on and off, as well as with my Garmin Enduro 2. It is tied to using multiple apps on the phone that play audio - such as using podcasting and music apps on the phone. I have been able to get it to work by rebooting, or closing all apps that play audio except one. I haven’t done this in a while, but it’s worth a try.
I use an iteration of the google pixel.
