Software Update 2.48.16 (2025 November Rain release)
-
@SergioB
I know a song of Guns N’ Roses, perhaps ? -
@SergioB The Guns n‘Roses song with this title seems possible… or it might be a hint about the ‚typical‘ november weather? Although this is not correct in southern bavaria this year… we have very nice weather at the moment… no rain… 🤩🥰🤩🥰 but I don’t know anything about the weather in Finland

-
Song or no song-related, main thing is this was a bug fix-related firmware, and we’re in store for Q4 firmware release before 2026

-
Just updated my vertical with the new FW and all the ghost BT connections are still there - without beeing able to delete them. The watch is continuing beeping all the time without showing why it is beeping. The only possibilty to stop the watch beeping is to set it to flight mode. But what is the point having a watch that costs 800 euro when setting it in flight mode all the time?
This problem has been adressed several times since the last update and Suunto did not fix this bug. That is not good enough and I am feeling really annoyed having a watch with these issues.
I am wondering if the battery drain problem is solved and I have my doubts. When setting my watch into airplane off mode the battery dropped with 2 percent after one hour. Is it that difficult to fix these kind of bugs, Suunto?
I have to say that I don t look forward to other FW updates when Suunto is gambling with the trust of their consumers and I am really disappointed.

-
@Stefan-Kersting you had contact with @pavel.samokha to talk about your problems and to send logs of your watch? For me it seems that you are one of the users with the worst issues? If there is no test watch with your problems, they cannot test is the new firmware can fix these problems!
-
@SergioB possibly the song as the main bugfix is the battery (d)rain?
-
@Stefan-Kersting I guess you’ve already tried a factory reset?
I know that it’s painful as you cannot store the watch configuration… -
@gone-troppo to confirm that you must wait at least few days. It is hard to say from just few hours.
-
@Mads-Hintz-Madsen did you try a factory reset? I have the same trouble but before doing a factory reset and loose all my setting I want to ensure that it works and the the factory reset isn t wastet.
-
@gone-troppo I think you have to wait several days to get a reliable answer from the forum users…
-
@SuperFlo75 obviously I am not the only one with these problems and @gone-troppo had issues too. A hard reset did not work either.
https://forum.suunto.com/post/174575
I am getting more and more annoyed just seeing my watch that doesn t work
-
@Stefan-Kersting I understand what you mean, and I know about the issues that you and other guys postet… I would get really angry, oh yeah, really angry

-
@SuperFlo75 @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos @pavel.samokha and I am getting more annoyed when reading the answer of the Suunto service:
I totally understand your concern and I’m really sorry for the trouble. have you sent the product for service before?
-
@Stefan-Kersting The ghost BT connections are a problem. I would perform a hard reset. I am having no issues with the new firmware.
-
@Brad_Olwin have contact with the support now and they say I can do a rollback. What do you think of that solution?

-
On reddit there was a change log including also “flashlight setting reminder in activity” (vertical 2). Any idea what this is?

-
@Stefan-Kersting depends on which firmware, the prior one had issues with battery drain. Not sure that will rid you of the ghost connections but it won’t delete all of the sport modes, etc. Similar to an update, then you could update.
-
@Brad_Olwin when I am reading this post I am not sure if a factory reset will solve the problem…?
-
@Stefan-Kersting You’re asking if a factory reset works to remove ghost BT connections? I did it with the previous update because I didn’t want to wait for another update and, yes, for me ghost BT connections disappeared. Unfortunately, as you know, you have to reconfigure everything afterward.
Before performing a factory reset, I tried reverting to the previous firmware version. Surprisingly, the connections that were previously known also became ghost BT connections. -
@fondueaufromage all right then it looks like that the factory reset is the way to go. Just wondering if - when not doing the factory reset - the ghost BT connections are responsible for the battery drain
