Software Update 2.48.16 (2025 November Rain release)

Just updated without problems… let’s see what will happen the next few days… my biggest problem with the past firmware was a little bit increased battery consumption… I will test it in daily living

-
@Tomas5 so i did update. I can confirm that manual blood oxygen measurement works again. Will see about night values.
-
@Dušan-Ković Hello I use an h10 and Verity sens also so that it connects easily try to set up verity sens and turn it on and wait 30 seconds before choosing the activity
-
Updated .i hope the battery drain is really fixed
-
@ggrego Thanks for the tip, I will try that
-
@Dušan-Ković It is necessary that in connectivity. Wireless network of. Discovery of

Don’t really care about the changes, seems minor. But the big thing is that there is now the same firmware for all watches (except Run). Great, lets see how this will develop in the future
-
@VoiGAS you are right! The most important thing would be that the firmware is less buggy than before!
-
I’ve noticed a small issue on my Vertical (1st gen) when using the K14 marine compass watchface:
When I wake the watch, the transition from the inactive state to the active state is no longer smooth. There’s a noticeable black screen for like 200 - 300 millisecond during this transition.
Other watchfaces I’ve tried don’t seem to have this problem; it appears to be specific to the K14 face.
Is anyone else experiencing this?EDIT: Concentric analog does this as well…
-
Ukrainian language is ignored again… very sad.
-
Is it just me or the battery level on settings widget got smaller? (Vertical 1).
-
Speaking of fewer bugs, does any cyclist have the 2.48.16 version, use a Polar H10 HRM, and have Wahoo Speedplay power pedals? If so, will you confirm that the HR is displayed ina training and recorded on the watch when cycling power is paired?
Starting in 2.44.46, the combination of the H10 and Speedplay Power pedals results in the HR signal dropped, making it impossible to use ZoneSense and pedaling power together during training.
For my Vertical, I’ve downgraded to firmware 2.43.12 to have this capability.
-
Installed on Race S. The only thing I noticed so far, is that my running pace zones got reset to default. (6’00, 5’30, 5’00, 4’30/km)
If you don’t know your zones before the update, go to any pre-update run in Suunto app, for graph choose Pace on the left and then see the details by tapping on (i) Pace zones below. -
Which HR strap model does this function work with?
I have Suunto smart bell, Polar H10 and Wahoo old’ model.
-
WOW is the battery drain actually fixed can anyone confirm this on their watch? This update is not available to me yet

Settings - Training - Intensity Zones - Extended Zones - Running - Pace Zones

New features:
- Ground contact time and vertical oscillation in running log summary
Can somebody answer me the question why the new feature (ground contact time and vertical oscillation) is only available for the newer (2) watches? Missing Hardware (which one?), processor speed or just software?
-
Just for curiosity: what does “Rain” stands for?

Yes, this would be my next question if @SergioB didn’t ask that before me. Maybe a hint that the Q4 update will come on top!?
