After the new update, my watch shows completely nonsensical data for elevation gain. When running on flat ground, sometimes it says I’ve climbed 500 meters, and other times it even shows negative values.
On top of that, when I start an activity, the heart rate strap keeps reconnecting every second. It keeps showing “heart rate strap connected” messages throughout the whole activity — it just keeps cycling.

      What’s going on?!

Check if the barometer hole on th bottom of the case is clean. Also check if clothing is not constantly pushing against the hole during running.

For the heart rate strap, check the battery of the sensor.
Maybe restart the watch by pressing the right upper button for a while.

If that doesn’t fix it, you probably should contact Suunto support.

@surfboomerang I cleaned the sensor, blew it out with a compressor but nothing helped. Since the watch is two months out of warranty, how much can the repair cost?

I would try to let it soak in lukewarm water for a while.
then gently rub it with a soft brush.
            and maybe a soft reset

air compressor is not really ideal to clean a pressure sensor 🙂
