race 2 + HR strap = :/
-
Hi there.
I’m having constant problems with HR sensor (polar H10). There are two issues:
- watch cannot connect to sensor - need to unpair it and pair it again
- sensor disconnects from watch during activity and I’m loosing HR data; maybe it’s not disconnecting, maybe problem is different, but I have no way of veryfying it during workout
sensor works fine with my other watch (apple watch ultra 2). never had any issues with it. fresh battery, watch shows 100% when connected.
watch is running 2.46.14
already sent logs via Suunto appplz, do some more testing with external HR sensors - it’s one of most popular straps and it works like crap
as far as I seen on reddit, i’m not the only one with such problemscheers!

@mich-heller Have not tried my H10 since getting my R2 but my Morpheus HRM works without issue.

Can’t comment on the HR monitor you mentioned but I use the Coros HR monitor with my Race 2 - works great, connects immediately when I select an activity
Have you tried updating the firmware on your HR monitor?

I used my Coospo chest strap yesterday without issues. Immediately connected and told me what the watch was connecting to.

@brianoverby with the Coros HRM as it is optical you won’t get ZoneSense, if that matters to you…

I have a serious problem with H10…
I have paired it to the watch but every time I start a workout it is very difficult to connect automatically.
The battery on the H10 is brand new and has no issue when I connect to Polar flow or a Garmin 955.
On the other hand Polar Verity sense behaves much better with the Race 2.
I have deleted and re-paired the H10 but the problem remains.
I am very annoyed by this problem. -
@Nikolai current design to connect to HR devices is for each sports mode to remember the HR device it connected to and next time you open the same sport mode it’ll try to connect automatically to that device only. If you want to change to another one, you’ll have to search for it and selected it from the list. It might change in a future release but that’s the main thing to be aware of.

@herlas thank you very much for your reply.
To be honest I find this limitation very strange and I don’t remember having it in other watches in the past.
