Software Update 2.44.52 (2025 Q3 - HOTFIX)
-
@duffman19 Thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I’ve been experiencing everything you described.
Of course, I’d love to test for Suunto but I’d rather they sent me a test device for that purpose. My SV1 is my daily driver and I strongly prefer it to run a stable software.
Couldn’t agree more with you that when the external HR disappears the watch should default back to oHR.
Edit: As always, after installing the latest software update, I rebooted my Suunto watches twice by holding the upper button for 12 seconds or so. -

Is there any practical difference between rebooting the watch 3 times, versus just once?
-
@Squirrel Thanks for making me think about this.
Here’s what I found:Rebooting (often referred to as a “soft reset”) is typically recommended as a single action to resolve minor glitches, such as temporary unresponsiveness or software hangs, by pressing and holding the upper right button for about 12 seconds until the watch vibrates and restarts. This clears temporary memory issues without erasing data.
Official Suunto advice emphasizes that repeated resets should be avoided unless directed by support, as they indicate deeper problems like hardware faults, and may require warranty service instead. If your watch is experiencing issues, sync data first, then try a single reboot; if it persists, contact Suunto support for model-specific guidance. -
@duffman19 @Highlands I had something similar happen yesterday
-
@OutdoorMan holy moly
iam really happy to Run all my Watches at 2.37.48 never ever had this Problems. Buy a good working suunto and make it bad with some Updates and hotfixes 🤩 you don’t get your money Back
-
@GiPFELKiND Now my SV needs another hot fix for this issue.
-
@Highlands it’s coming Suun.
-
@OutdoorMan I wonder if this hot fix was ever tested before rolling out
-
@Highlands oh nooooooo

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos does “zonesense zone indicator fixed” means “VO2max autotag bug for running activities” fixed or something else ?
Vo2 max auto tag bug seems to be fixed ; went (at last) running this morning (trail race) and auto tag is ok (hard anaerobic).
-
@Belial I also have this issue with the iPhone 17. I tried to sync activities with my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and everything went well. Do you have any information about when it will be fixed?
-
@Eliseev-PA there were some rumors, that 26.1 should have this bug fixed, but someone in other thread informed, that he’s using 26.1 beta and the issue persists

Did your pace zones change post update? Can you check in the app this latest run vs. some previous run?
-
@Tieutieu for me unfortunately not - I am still “VO2 max” instead of “Aerobic”. Very disappointed … I will proceed to try to ignore it as usual.
Note: have not heard from the four friends (Suunto users) affected by this, too (2 X Race, 1 x Race S, 1 x Vertical). As I don’t want to be (mostly silent) blamed by them for convincing them to buy a Suunto -
I had a little walk yesterday, and a little run today… the behavior of my SV was as expected… I didn’t notice any issues… I‘m really happy 🤩

Two problems with the latest update so far:
-
No more off-track-warnings! This is really annoying because nothing changed for navigation.
-
During one long hiking activity my SV rebooted. Fortunately I recognised it because of the vibration and the activity was saved. I had to start a second one and the activity is split now. Not so nice and I hope this happens no more.
-
-
I recognize both beeping and vibrating and the watch does not show anything. I really don’t know why it is beeping and vibrating after the update.

@Shrek3k older activities have not changed. I’ll see if next runs are ok. I had tried to change the pace zones, but with the settings I have set my race should have been tagged has long aerobic. Hard aerobic is clearly linked to my HR

Bike sensor wheel size adjustment added
Any estimate when Race 2 get this feature ?? I was amazed today that second most expensive suunto watch miss this and recorded distance is 2km off thanks to that. That is 10% inaccurate. Even 5 year old Suunto 5 has it, and if I remember correctly Ambit 2 had it too. I have official bike sensor from suunto so I don’t understand why it is not there already in Race 2 firmware. Even user manual refers to it.

Btw i don’t care so much about distance from this pod. I mainly need cadence so maybe is it possible somehow take distance from GPS but cadence from pod? At least until it is fixed ?
