      Hey guys,
This morning for the second time in a week i woke up to my watch being completly off and according to the app It turned off right when i went to sleep.
So i sent a first “crash log”.

Then i went walking a bit, and the watch proudly annonced that i did 13000 steps (my objective), despite having walked roughly 2000 steps according to the app (and much more in line with what i really did), so i sent a second log.

Can somebody at Suunto check that out (and make a hotfix of the hotfix)

            bonjour a tous,

After performing a hard reset and setting everything up from scratch, the current battery drain is about 10% per day, compared to 3% per day before the latest update. In simple terms, that’s roughly 10 days of use instead of the previously achieved and advertised 30 days (with 24/7 OHR enabled, notifications turned off, and no sport use — I haven’t started any activities such as running).

To be honest, this feels similar to the early stages of the Fenix 8 MIP release, when excessive background CPU activity caused the MIP models to perform almost like AMOLED versions in terms of battery life. Garmin eventually resolved that issue, but it makes me wonder what Suunto changed in their latest firmware — what previously tested processes were modified, or what new background tasks were introduced — that could explain such a significant increase in power consumption.

@Belial This has been going on for quite some time, several updates back. And many users have remained stuck like this (about 10% per day) despite several supposed fixes.

Hello everyone. Could you please provide me with the link to version 2.43.12 for my Suunto Race? I want to downgrade to this version, as it is the only one I find more usable . The battery does not drain, external sensors no longer constantly disconnect, etc. Actually I’m on the last version 2.44.52

It should definitely include sleep tracking.
I woke up at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
I walked around the house. I manually paired the watch. I scrolled through the watch.
                          But at 12 a.m., I got a “good morning” message 🙂
I don’t understand the logic behind it being based on location or what?
                          It’s getting worse.

@Stefan-Kersting i’m waiting to pair some bike sensors, but Suunto watch doesn’t see the difference among them.

This sw. version might be buggy. Or my watch has a hardware issue that makes this version crash, which is less likely. When I had it in my Race v1, it restarted itself multiple times a day. I tried hard reset, didn’t help. Then I reverted to 2.44.46 through the debug menu and since it didn’t restart (for about 18 hours now). The error codes are also gone. Dear moderators of this form, can I help with sharing the error codes I’ve seen in the debug menu? Can you report them to Suunto with the hope that they can help to localize the issue?

                                    Sleep tracking accuracy improved

It seems to me that after this hotfix the Awake time intervals are computed in a more “restrictive” way, that is, even if I wake several times during the night, now I just get few minutes of total Awake time, usually less than 10 min. For example, this night I slept 7:45, being only 5 min awake, which seems unrealistic to me .

A question, somebody knows how the Sleep quality is computed? I usually get values around 80%, rarely reaching 85%, even if the total sleep time is near the 8 hours target, with short awake time (especially after the hotfix) and good alternance of deep, light and rem sleep phases. Don’t understand what should be “better” to have higher Sleep quality values.

I’ve completed my own battery tests.
                                      These are solely my fault.
First of all, I’ve had my watch for 18 months (the watches go on sale in Turkey two months after launch).
The watch has a FW of 2.44.52. The Suunto app is 3.4.0.
I conducted the tests with daily use and an 18-hour weekend walking workout. I wore my HR belt during this workout.
In summary, I calculated that the battery performance of the watch has decreased by 15% compared to the current one.
So, you could think of the battery health of phones as being around 85%.
But I don’t think the decrease in battery life is the only reason.
More autonomous systems and phone usage also increase battery consumption.
Connecting to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, automatically updating the weather and GPS, and the effects of certain watch interfaces.
All of these factors affect battery health. Also,

I’m very happy with my MIP Vetical 1 solar watch, but if the Vertical 2 delivers the same performance as promised, and if there’s a trade-in campaign in Turkey, I might trade my Vertical 1 Solar titanium watch for a Vertical 2 Titanium AMOLED watch.

                                      • Sorry for any errors in Google Translate translation.

@Stefano-M64 I don’t know, but 85% is the new 99%. Back in the old S9Baro days my sleep was almost always 99%, now on R2 it’s almost always 85%.

Edit: This is just my observation. I do not really pay attention to it.

@Stefano-M64 for me it seems like avg hr, min hr and especially HRV affects the sleep quality the most. Sleep time not as much. Sleeping 5h with high HRV gives better sleep score than 8-9h with low HRV value for me.
