Battery drain after update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3) on Vertical Watch
-
@gone-troppo I mean to unpair the connected device.
In my case, I prefer to soft reset the watch after activities, altough I have to select the sensor again every time I start a new activity… -
Ok thanks damn that’s a pain to have to unpair and repair every time I will give up his a go tommorow and see if it makes a difference
-
Does downgrading the firmware to the previous one fix the problem? What if the battery problem is caused by the latest update?
-
It would be really nice of suunto to give us bug-fix FW update soon, so we don’t have to wait for another quarter update
-
Mine has been doing this for a long time before the last update prolly 6-12 months ago it started draining like this.
-
@gone-troppo My Vertical had a similar problem a while ago, but it was fixed with an update or bug fix. I don’t remember.
My watch wasn’t updated to the latest firmware as soon as I read about the battery issue. -
I charged my watch on 30.8 and today I have still 47% of battery left. HR, HRV and sleep tracking ON 24/7. 6,5 hours of running and walking with best GPS and H10 as HR sensor for 4 hours of that time. No battery calibration after last FW update. Batterylife is the same as the day I bought mine two years ago.
-
@Jugger Might be related to the manufacturer of the belt.
The H10 is off if not connected to the belt. With Garmin there’s no real “off” as far as I know. -
@lessthanmore Could be that but overall battery lasts anyway over two weeks. Other users reports 10% per day consumption even without exercise.
Also I’ve never had any problems with new FWs. Is this only effecting people who had dataloss after last update?
-
It’s not to do with the H10 as I only use the H10 and have the 10-12% drain per day
-
Further update I can confirm that disconnecting paired device (hr Monitor) did not help battery life still going down at same rate. There must be other potential causes of this that are unknown
