Suunto Race 2 Navigation Display No Touch 2.46.4
-
Hello Everybody,
I noticed a quite annoying behavior on my Race2.
Scenario:
- During Activity with GPS.
- Go to Navigation Display.
Touch Works as it should( You can move the Map around with your finger. Touch also works in the Navigation settings menu) - Let the watch screen turn off (dont move the watch e.g. let your arm hang down)
- Once you reactivate the Watch again the Navigation Display is shown correctly, Zoom in/Out via crown Rotation works, compass orientarion works but the touch is not activated. So you can not move the Map around. Same in the navigation settings menu. Crown works. Touch doesn’t.
Repeatable in every Activity so far (TrailRun, Run, Bike , Hike)
In the Map-Widget it works Just fine.
On my Suunto Race S it works also Just fine.
Could someone check this on his/her watch? Thanks, UE

@UE_Suunto I checked it. Same here. After the second screen activation when the touch stopped working I pressed the crown to move to the next screen and long pressed the crown to go back to the map screen the touch did not worked. When I scrolled through all the screens until I reached the map screen again the touch was ok until the screen turned off.

Known and reported to Suunto

@Egika Thank you for the info!
- What is the proper way to report an issue or discuss it? I know support where reporting an issue can be done.
- Is it ok if an issue is reported by more than one user?
- Where can a user check if it is an open issue already? I know only this forum. Is this check necessary or available for the users before opening a new topic?
- Is it ok if someone open a topic about an issue if it is reported already?
I am just asking because I run sometimes to the same situation in the past where a discussion started and you or others came and said It is a reported and known issue.
I just wanted to help when I checked the described behaviour on my watch and answered here. -
it is totally fine to report any finding here.
It is not necessarily a bug and often other users know how to solve a certain situation.
Of course it always makes sense to first search the forum before posting something, as it might have been discussed before. But noone will be punished if there are duplicates.
I only know some bugs (mostly the ones I reported personally), so I don’t have the full picture. There is no public list of know bugs.
