Imagine if Courtney Dauwalter was still wearing the 9PP.
Right now, after more than 17 hours running the 100M UTMB, she was cursing Suunto because she couldn’t go back a screen when she got to the navigation screen. She could only advance the screen carousel until she reached the previous one. Oops, but she missed a click due to the bad mood it causes her and has to start over.
Ridiculous, right?
Well, if Courtney, or any other athlete, were wearing the 9PP right now, that’s what would happen to her/him. A bug that appeared in 2025 Q2 on the navigation screen that renders the touch screen inoperative is the culprit.Well, Suunto did nothing to fix it, and apparently, based on what the forum colleagues who have installed the new beta report, the problem persists. I truly find it incomprehensible and unacceptable.

@enriqueescoms Unfortunately, there are more such bugs.

@enriqueescoms I feel your pain, but I also wonder how much pro athletes rely on sports watches. I mean - I’d rather believe they use simple, one data screen, rather than the navigation, two S+ and many data fields.

@enriqueescoms Funny, I thought about it yesterday on a long trail run while I was clicking through the screens (Main, Laps, Map, Climb Guidance and Live Track). Thats not usable, I think about reducing it to 2 screens. Then the button is just to switch between screens

@VoiGAS I don’t get the point of the laps screen and never include it in my custom sport mode. At the same time, the default Trail Run mode doesn’t have Total Ascent, which is one of the most useful fields.

@sky-runner Full agree with you

@sky-runner Right, this was also the first screen I removed. No idea what to do with it during the run.
But the main problem are the Suunto+ Apps. If you want the functionality, you have to take the screen- Like for life tracking
