      @sky-runner Right, this was also the first screen I removed. No idea what to do with it during the run.
      But the main problem are the Suunto+ Apps. If you want the functionality, you have to take the screen 😞 - Like for life tracking

        @enriqueescoms Don’t use more than two screens for a race. Problem solved.

          @sky-runner I usually create a custom sport mode tailored to each specific race with custom fields that are relevant to that race. Then next year when I’m doing the same race I just reactivate the same mode. No hassle with the screens, apps, etc.

            @cheetah694 That doesn’t solve the problem, but it does minimize the inconvenience. Of course, the price can be high: not following the route track and not seeing the profile.

                Well, I just contacted the support service (which was fast and efficient this time) and they told me, regarding the touchscreen bug, the following:

                “Hi! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This is a known issue, but our internal team is working on a permanent solution. While we don’t have a specific resolution date yet, we assure you this is a priority and we hope to resolve it as soon as possible. We hope to have everything back to normal this week.”

                Wow, I appreciate that the developers are working on it and that a solution is expected to be found in the short term. I pray for that 🙏

                  @enriqueescoms That would be amazing (and unheard of) if it were fixed within the week! I’ll pray with you.

                  I feel like if Suunto fixes these navigation issues – along with updating the zoom function – the 9PP will be fairly well “set” and can sail off into the sunset as Suunto’s last small, perfectly designed MIP watch.

                    Well, if Courtney, or any other athlete, were wearing the 9PP right now, that’s what would happen to her/him. A bug that appeared in 2025 Q2 on the navigation screen that renders the touch screen inoperative is the culprit.

                    A touch screen wouldn’t be usable when running something like UTMB anyway because of sweat and rain. When it is wet, the touch screen becomes useless and the touch has to be disabled. By the way, a long press on the middle button can be used to go to the previous screen. I use that all the time during activities to switch forth and back between screens.

                      @sky-runner but there should be an option to enable / disable it. I would let it up to the user to decide if he’s going to use it or not.

                        @sky-runner I think it is clear that the subject is treated from irony and hyperbole. The important thing was to point out that there is an important and limiting bug on the navigation screen that makes it impossible to go back.

                        That is, when you get to that screen you can’t go back, you can’t with buttons because of the distribution of functions itself in 9PP, and you can’t because of the touch because of the bug.

                        For me it is important that it is solved and I imagine that I will not be the only one.

                          That does not work on the 9PP navigation screen. This is one of the issues being discussed here and on other threads.

                          Currently, a long press of the middle button while on the navigation screen brings up the old style zoom feature, with a “+” for the top button and a “-” for the bottom. The result is that once you reach the navigation screen, you are forced to scroll forward (not a huge deal, but annoying none the less).

                          The other issue, the lack of a properly functioning touch screen, means that you cannot scroll to view any section of a route other than where you currently are. You can imagine how this might be limiting.

                            @duffman19 yup, it’s bugged.
