Wing 2 general discussion
-
A Finnish retailer summed up the differences:
“Compared to the first version of the Wing, this version 2 differs in the following ways: it now includes voice guidance for workouts and movement sensor-based workout control. The Bluetooth version is 5.3 instead of the previous 5.2. The environmental protection rating has decreased from IP67 to IP66, which, however, can still withstand things like a downpour without issues. The speaker drivers are slightly larger than before (24.2 x 15.1 x 6.2 mm vs. the previous 22.1 x 13.15 x 6.5 mm). Charging now happens directly via a USB-C port instead of a charging dock. Oh, and it’s also heavier by a whole two grams!”
Mashable wrote that:
“The Wing 2 headphones sport a lighter, slimmer shell, so you’ll find both the fit and sound quality are much improved. The weight distribution has also been adjusted forward to make them more comfortable and keep the earbuds securely in place during long wear”
Does anyone have any first hand experience or links to reviews?

From what i could read the main upgrade seems to be abilty to have direct link to the watch and get direct feedback for metrics (pace…)

I would like to know what’s difference between wing vs wing 2.
I love my Wing and more my Aqua !
-
@Tieutieu there is no review anywhere highlighting these features.
can anybody who has them already talk about what it is specifically they do with that audio feeback?

@Mi_chael Sounds great! There also seems to be the neck fatigue test and the jump test as a feature - the Wing1 didn’t have them or did it?
-
@VoiGAS No, Wing 1 did not - and does not - have these two features
-
Finally i bought a combo Wing 2 and Race 2.
Someone can explain to me how to connect together for « Real-time performance feedback from Suunto watch »
Thanks

Sounds intersting ; I’d love to see a lime color coming like on wing 1

Wing 1 not available anymore on Suunto’s French website
-
@Mi_chael Same for me.
I have a Suunto Race.
There is no offer for a S+ Wing-2 App.
Connecting via Sensor is not possible. So we have to wait and looking forward to a quick release of the S+ Wing-2 App.

FYI
On Telegram, Suunto Spanish moderator said that Suunto app will available on the SuuntoPlus Store.
I don’t know when. Perhaps with Suunto Vertical 2

Hi - I got a Wing 2 last week and I have been having connection problems.
Phone: Samsung S23.
I am able to find the Wing 2 on my phone’s bluetooth menu but the headphones don’t actually connect. (the phone says they’re connected, but the light keeps flashing and eventually the headphones turn off). Additionally, the Suunto app keeps spinning in pairing mode and doesn’t ever connect to the Wing 2. My music apps won’t recognize it.
I’ve uninstalled the Suunto app and tried to connect the Wing 2 without the Suunto app present (didn’t work). I’ve reinstalled the Suunto app. I’ve restarted my phone. Nothing works.
I was able to connect it to my husband’s phone (older Samsung, no Suunto app) and it connected without issue.
I did email support but I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue.
