Software Update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3)
-
@Mads-Hintz-Madsen thanks for the info.
For the record this it what I did:
I first did a factory reset on the current firmware. This helped to remove the ghost sensor from the list of connected devices.
What remains is that I cannot pair my Fazua Ride 60 as a power meter any longer. It gets detected as speed sensor but the watch does not receive anything.
So I decided to downgrade to the previous firmware, so that I can use my power meter while I wait for a fix that will hopefully come.

@pavel.samokha with respect to sensors, as far as I can see I can’t set up an activity where it doesn’t search for all possible sensors.
For example I have two bike profiles, the generic for my dumpster bin commuter and one for my nice bike - which has a speed/cadence sensor.
Having added the S/C sensor again this update, the normal bike profile looks for it, and I can’t tell it not to, as before. Bug I suspect.

I tested new structured workouts : great !!! At last rep counter and 5sec bip ! I’m so satisfied !!
(To be noticed, guides created before update must be deleted and created again so it can work)That works with my wife’s Race S but it did not work today in my Race 2.
-
@Luis-Andés-Olmedo like said, bip countdown and rep counter doesn’t work with guides created before update, you need to create new ones
-
@Tieutieu What about interval training from trainingpeaks? The next interval notification doesn’t work there. I assume this only applies to workouts created in the Suunto app, am I right?
-
@smutnak Can’t tell about third party intervals, I don’t use them. But a friend using Nolio told me that bip doesn’t work with guides created by nolio. I know that icu guides are including rep counter (don’t know about bip) since a long time.
So far and considering that there is no official communication from suunto about those news features, I guess we have to consider that they work (bip countdown at last) only with native structure workouts -
@Tieutieu OK, same with TrainingPeaks no bip countdown, so I hope it will change in the next update maybe
-
@Theo-Lakerveld I have tried the same than you, two full load cycle and soft reset but no improvment seen on the battery consumption. It remains higher than before the last FW update with the same watch configuration. Impossible to stay more than 6 days without loading, with no sport activity. I’m very worried about how it will hold up during an ultra trail. I’m not sure it will last the advertised 50 hours, and I’m not sure it will even last 40 hours.
-
@Tieutieu I created a workout in SA with manual lap button.
I don’t have any information on the change. Here a video

@Wilson75 have you the description of the guide you’ve created ? You’ve got the counter of rep stuck but it doesn’t change, Is that what your video is showing ?. (With manual lap you can’t off course get the bip countdown to next step)

I noticed that the VO2max calculation seems to be gone in my recent runs… the last calculation I can see was on 8/19/25, that was before updating my watch. Where is it gone? Do you have this phenomenon, too?
I’m not sure if this is due to lost of all my settings after the update? But I did 4 trail runs since the update, and several walks… -

@Tieutieu
I have created a new workout. In my workout I have Burpees and pushup for the name of the workout. I don’t have any info about the exercise to do.
I only see the name of the rest segment with the name “rest workout”
Here a video + screenshothttps://photos.app.goo.gl/7xyZx8p4W4Ngh7Mj6

Wing2 is here but music control is really not stable.
- media control is not working
- Enable or disable music control is sync across sport mode.

@Wilson75 well behaviour is ok according with what you’ve programmed : you have the number of series displayed (1/6, 2/6…)and the 5sec bip countdown 5sec before the end of your pushups
For now also for me, name of the rep you’ve chosen (burpees or pushups) is not displayed, only rep counter).
My guess is that it’s due to display organisation and limitation (it would not be possible to display either name of rep and rep counter, especially if name of rep is too long).
But at the start of your exercice I thought it would displayed complete workout (lap/rest/20sec sep).I just tested to change the name of my 30’ rep in a 3x [8x30’/30] running session, display is still the same at the beginning of session. Same screen but with « set 2 » before second rep of set.
So my guess is that at beginning of set, maybe the screen displays only time/distance based reps ?[edit : I just checked and changed my recovery time for a « press button to next step », and indeed now the set screen before it start only shows now the time based rep.
And if changed with distance based reps it’s displayed. So, conclusion is that press lap based reps are not displayed on set screen before it starts.

@pavel.samokha said in Software Update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3):
Improved swim style detection in pool swimming
Not really, it confuses backstroke with freestyle and sometimes fails to recognize breaststroke.
And speaking of swimming, the update introduced a bug. The SuuntoPlus App “Send Off” runs in the background even though it’s stopped. I can see in the watch menu that it’s stopped, but the 10-second countdown and start signals still work. When I turn it back on, it’s updated with a few more “send-offs.” Strange. -
@Jan-Suchánek It’s quite logical given what has been declared. The update is about “pairing” not “connection”:
Support for pairing multiple sensors of same type
I would be more concerned about this condition: what does “of the same type” mean?
-
@Ars-Vitae “of the same type” just means of the same type of sensor, like external HR strap, power meter, speed/cadence sensor, etc. For instance I have 4 different HR straps paired and 2 different speed/cadence sensors paired.
-
@olson917 Thanks, I just finally understood the idea. I thought that it could be maybe the same type = same sport. The Suunto has Bike Sensor that meters cadence and speed and I’v never been able to synchronize both parameters, even though they come from the same device.
-
@Tieutieu thank you for sharing your perspective.
To be honest, this feels more like a bug or even a downgrade. I usually program my intervals with intervals.icu, and I used to see my exercises (e.g., burpees). Now I can’t see them anymore. After all these years with Suunto, this is the first time I feel truly disappointed with a Suunto app and watch update.
Suunto app issues:
The map has been removed from the profile view.
The map view in Route details is now very small and impractical. I wonder if it was actually tested internally before release.
Editing waypoints or planning routes is clunky. You need to tap and hold multiple times before anything happens.Q3 release issues:
Climb guidance v2: still doesn’t work properly for me…
Paired devices: when cycling, I pair both my watch and bike computer to my power meter. After this release, my activity is missing power metrics, even though pairing shows as successful…
Interval workouts with third-party apps: not working as they should anymore…
Music control: never works…This is the first time I’m more eager for a bug fix release than for an actual feature release.
I know some people from Suunto are here, and I don’t mean to say the work isn’t good. I just want to share my frustration about certain features not working as they should.
