I just tried Zonesense intensity rings on a gravel ride. I think there is a bug
I can confirm this on my Race S during a Running session. Using a “Custom” sport mode; ZoneSense SuuntoPlus app not active and choosing “Exercise options” -> “Intensity zones” -> “ZoneSense” (without a target zone set).
Only the white arrow was visible (after the initial 10 minutes) without any coloured ring segments until some seconds of Anaerobic effort was detected (yellow segment became visible). After which the green segment also got activated - when my effort fell to that level.
I did not see any occasion where the yellow segment was highlighted when the arrow had fallen below that area.
On yesterday’s ‘Custom’ Trail Running session I had set a target zone (Aerobic) for ZoneSense and that worked perfectly, with a green segment visible from start and then the arrow popping up after 10 minutes.

(For the record : Even if i didn’t lost any data/settings after update, I had to soft reset both my SV and SRs to make OHR work)

for the ones having issues with ZS ring on riding… have you already check if the HR zones were correctly defined and activated?
I have recreated all my zones (HR/Pace/Power) so the initial missing ZS ring segments bug does not originate from that FW update wipeout.

@isazi I just tried Zonesense intensity rings on a gravel ride. I think there is a bug.
- first 9 minutes there was no rings, which was expected, as zonesense kicks in after about 10mins
- after that only white arrow showed, there was no color rings.
- at 25mins in activity I had a hill and I went onto an-aerobic zone, suddenly ZS zone 2 showed yellow
- after the hill, it went back into ZS zone 1 and suddenly ring became green, so we have colors
- during the ride I kept glancing into the rings and on multiple occasions white arrow went back to zone 1 but yellow ring (zone2) was highlighted
I am guessing that it is just buggy behaviour and devs should take a look at it more closely
I just had a 10km trail run. Zonesense was acting super weird. I had set intensity rings to zonesense, didn’t set target. I also had zonsense S+ app active and I had custom field for HR. I was running easy pace, something I would consider aerobic based on the feeling. During almost entire run, zonesense was showing me that I was at end of an-aerobic or end of VO2Max zones, but my HR was 130-140bpm. Zonsense rings and Zonesens S+ app were showing me the same. S+ app showing me something like 10% aerobic and rest was yellow or red.
BUT, when I ended activity and checked analysis I’ve got completely different zonesense data.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any picture of watch during running, but it was showing me completely wrong data. The data in the app is more in line how I felt, but during exercise, realtime data was not correct

@Stefano-M64 same here. Race S

@Dušan-Ković same here, watch and app are always very different. seams like furthermore betatest.

On yesterday’s ‘Custom’ Trail Running session I had set a target zone (Aerobic) for ZoneSense and that worked perfectly
Exact same scenario today, but it bugged out in the visibility area. Every time my effort registered as anaerobic the arrow went up into an empty ring segment - it failed to switch on the yellow colour. Everything else worked correctly: Green segment visible, warning screen to “Slow down”, vibrations and beeps when in the different segments.A “Zonesense an-aerobic” data field counted correct time for when the arrow entered the ‘not-visibly-yellow’ segment. Total time on watch 4m48s, in Suunto app 4m52s (Android v6.1.4).
-
@Inge-Nallsson if you set a target, i.e. Aerobic, I believe the color remains locked to green and even if the arrow goes up, it doesn’t show yellow. This is at least my experience.
-
@timecode Ah, thanks. My mind had started to doubt the analysis. I do have a memory of the yellow segment being activated on the previous occasion, but that could of course be false (first time usage; not paying close attention). I’ll strike out the above post…

I found a bug for a structured workout with a new firmware version.
Here is explanation in the video:
https://youtube.com/shorts/9cXtOQhgeqc?si=wBht-giIK1870Z-4In the text:
With new firmware if in a structured workout we have several repeats with a set, when we put this set as “Interval” type, we can see what count of this repeat:
It is a really good thing introduced with the latest firmware, but at the same time because we can see the repeat, like 1/3, 2/3 etc, we can’t see the name of the repeat.
For example if at certain repeat I want to see the name of the exercise I have to do during this repeat, I won’t see it. It will only show me count of the repeat.
At the same time, if we use the type “Warm up”, “Recovery” or “Cool down”, we can see the name of the repeat, but can’t see its count:
I think the watch should display both, the name of the each repeat and its count in the set.
Today during swimming training I had problem with this set because of this bug:
Instead of name of each repeat the watch only showed me numbers, like 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3.And, please, fix this if possible - make a possibility to turn off notification about the HR sensor connection or to adjust which vibrations can work during the training session and which not:

I noticed the following bug - not sure if it is a new or existing bug:
If I open Alti & Baro widget outside of an activity (for example when driving a car in mountains) and keep it open for a long time, then the altitude number keeps updating in real time but the altitude graph doesn’t. The graph remains the same as it was at the moment when you opened the widget.

@Dušan-Ković I reported the lack of color in ZS rings as a bug already. If you set a target zone only the targeted zone will be in color. That is standard.
-
@sky-runner I saw this as well and not sure a bug. I will inquire.
-
@Brad_Olwin I know, this was without a target.
Another problem with this FW is with multiple sensors. I have two HR monitors - Verity Sense and H10. Both added to the watch. I use both, depending on the activity. This is a problem. For example I went for a run and used H10, next exercise is climbing, where I use Verity Sense. Sensors don’t automatically connect. If I use H10 in multiple activities in a row it is fine, but if I want to use verity sense, I have to connect it manually through exercise menu before activity. That happens every time I switch sensors. Why they don’t just automatically connect if they are added to the watch?
