@sryke @Squirrel Follow-up questions:
- How are you getting the Suunto power data? From the FIT file out of the mobile app?
- How are you getting the Stryd power data? From PowerCenter? If so, where is PowerCenter getting the data? Pushed from Suunto or manual sync from the Stryd foot pod?
- What is your process for generating those charts? Looks like you’re using CanvasJS. I too am a JS developer and can attempt replicating your results with my own data if I know your process.
#1
Yes, mobile app. Or if you sync to intervals.icu you can get it there, too.
#2
Yes, Stryd PowerCenter.
Manual sync from pod.

https://karaul.github.io/fitplotter/Yesterday I unpaired and paired again the pod before my run. Race S logged and showed Stryd power data.
However, Race S would not end the run on the pod, e.g. the Stryd pod kept on logging. I only noticed 3 hours later when I wanted to sync the pod and couldn’t connect the Stryd app with the pod. I checked my watch (basically just checked the status of the pod) which closed the connection and made the pod visible again. First time I’ve seen this happening.

@Cghinrg Just search the internet:
Long press the middle button to enter settings - Select general - Select about - Slide down until you see data privacy at the end - Long press the lower button to enter the interface
Slide down and select “Select OTA pkg”
You can see the current version and the previous version here. Select the previous version to update.
!!! I DON´T KNOW IF IT RESET WATCH TO FACTORY DEFAULTS OR NOT !!!

@The-Lost-Alien That´s a lot! I only see slightly increase, but I think it´s there :-). I tried to turn airplane mode ON and it seems, that the higher consumption is only with phone connected. Seems lower to me on previous FW with phone connected. But it´s only my feelings, I´ll see after few weeks.

@Jan-Suchánek thanks I’ve found this procedure but accidentally select delete all pkg🥲 there is a way to download previous pkg and install? I’ve found some old firmware but I can’t install

@Jan-Suchánek thanks I’ve found this procedure but accidentally select delete all pkg🥲
The reason why this should only be done when instructed by support.
-
@isazi there is a way to download and install previous firmware?
-
@Cghinrg there is no official way to do it, but you may be lucky and find someone that has the link. Or ask support.
-
@isazi OK thanks! But can I always reset to factory settings now that I have eliminated the pkgs? What happens if I do it?
-
@The-Lost-Alien: I’m also seeing a battery consumption of around 20% per day (without any activity) after the update.
-
@Cghinrg interesting, never tried myself, there is a chance your watch will not find any package to reinstall and enter service mode, in that case you will need to send your watch for maintenance.
-
@Jan-Suchánek Mine too.Excessive battery consumption since the update.
-
@isazi I assume there is this risk.i already found in old pkgs in other discussion but I don’t know how to install them. Where is a way?
I hope that with the next updates the debug pkg menu will populate! thanks for your answers. -
In this software, does optimizing the watch through Wi-Fi cause the battery to drain faster?
-
@runomatic I still have the same problem I have described. I have two devices paired and now I am trying to connect to the second one - Wahoo belt. Watch keeps saying Coros connected, no way to connect Wahoo and HR is being taken from my wrist (not even from Coros). I have no idea what to do now.
-
@Alpha-156.42 Here @Squirrel posted an elegant solution for your issue, that was annoying me as well.
-
@pavel.samokha Thanks, but it does not download and keeps waiting to get connected to the power cable. Battery level is 90%+
-
@withManish on the watch: setttings -> navigation -> map download
-
@isazi Thanks, buddy, but they should have mentioned it somewhere.
-
Yesterday I did a LR with Navigation (with Waypoints/Checkpoints) and was able to check the new Climb Guidance 2.0.
I found it extremely confusing. Was basically impossible to extract any useful information from the screens. Also, that new navigation was done thinking on the navigation wheel (Race, etc), not the 3 buttons (9PP and Vertical). So far, feels worse than before.
Is there any documentation (official Suunto guide seems outdated) or resources (e.g. videos) explaining the new Climb Guidance 2.0, how it works, what are all those fields, other that the Joaquin Spanish YT video?
-
@withManish yes, it’s confusing now, mobile app instructions will be updated.
