      Hi
My Suunto Vertical has, on a few occasions, doubled the number of altitude meters after a workout. I’ve also heard that the same thing has happened to a friend of mine who has the same watch. It’s very rare, but of course quite unfortunate when it does happen. What could be causing this? The watch is set to WGS84 Hd.d.

@Mff73 Thanks ! Q6-A: The challenge is what to do when it rains and the watch shouldn’t get wet or be pressed tightly under clothing. Otherwise, I’m incredibly satisfied with the watch and have used Suunto watches for many years.

Been using the Vertical since it was released. Have not had any issues with altitude gain. Always wear it exposed year round.

@Gunski I experienced same behaviour on SRace S on last lets say five activities. I tried to calibrate brometer by setting actual altitude. Today after activity again total nonsense elevation gain. On 9PP it was 300 m on SRS 900. Altitude on watch is double of actual one. Looks like barometer is faulty. It is under warranty so I will bring it back to seller. Last two purchases were bad luck for me…
