ZoneSense / Ground contact balance/ Strava HR totally different
-
I have a few issues to point out which I think many would have experience .
-
ZoneSense - Will this come to Suunto run anytime soon? As in a display showing the zones while running instead of seeing it on your app after the run.
-
Ground contact balance is practically useless and displaying wrong info. I run with my Garmin fenix 8, with a running pod, and the Ground contact balance is always skewed to my left foot while my Garmin run pod would be on the right side. I understand that during the run the balance may change but for Suunto, it is always on the same side and no matter how I deliberately land more heavily on one side, it will still display same contact balance .
-
when paired with polar h10, the HR in strava is displaying a much lower HR ( as much as 15 beats lower) for every kilometre ran .
-
the device name on Strava after sync is just Suunto, without run . My Suunto race and display the correct name.
Anyone who has experienced the above can help me if I am doing anything wrongly ?
Thank you

@leafs93 #4 is likely a Strava issue. That happens every time when a new device is released.

I’ve compared it several times with my old Coros Pace2/POD 2 and Run’s GCT and balance are almost there.

@leafs93 Strava processes raw data in its own way. If it’s correct in the SuuntoApp, the problem lies elsewhere.
There are differences, for example, with laps recorded in Suunto (this one is a Suunto bug), distance, various averages, and moving time/pauses.

I do not know, I would hope so but I have no information.

I use several different Suunto watches and they agree well. Mine do not show a preference. Try a soft reset.

That would be a Strava issue.

I will check on this.

@Brad_Olwin thanks everyone. Let me reset the watch and try again .
