heart rate sensors priority

Hi,
What’s the stragegy of the watch when internal and external heart rate sensor are selected in a running activity ?
Is external sensor a priority ?
Is data can be mixed with the two sensors if the external sensor stop working for example ? -

I turn the OHR off for activities I’m recording I find it to be like a broken clock (it tells the correct time twice a day, by coincidence, not by design).

@didier_2_5 If an external is connected then that is the source for HR - it does not/will not switch to OHR if the external has issues.

With the exception being Suunto run, it’ll switch to watch OHR if external stops working, just FYI
