Suunto Aqua for running?

@Yves-Jenni Hi! I had the same question and asked the GPT chat and they said the sound on land is better with the Wing, I assumed it was due to the sound settings for the intended purpose. I chose the Wing for running.

I don’t think so: they change the sound profile when you put them in swimming mode, so they should sound about the same, if not the same as the Wing. NB I don’t have the wing, but I do have the Aqua.
For running they have a fun little jump test, to tell you how fresh your legs are. If you’re into it.

@Yves-Jenni I have both. they are absolutely comparable for running.
Big plus of the Aqua: Offline music. Unless you have music on your Suunto Run, this makes the difference for me. -

@Ze-Stuart Aquas are Suunto’s best yet, internal memory for songs beats the little light on the Wings by a mile, I had both and decided to keep Aquas

@VoiGAS aside from the locally-stored music and the jump test, there isn’t really another reason: the swimming stuff is a half-implemented disappointment, sadly, that feels like it was implemented without testing actual swimmers or water. Grumble grumble grumble.

@Ze-Stuart Yes, the advanced swimming features look like they don’t work. But still you have the features of the wing plus this jump test, cycling neck tiredness check, offline music and improved water resistance. For 30€ more still not too bad.
In my case the problem is that I don’t listen to music during running…

Thank you all, this is very valuable because you have the direct comparison.
I think the “anti-wind noise” will be missing in the Aqua, but you will rarely miss that if you are not on the road by bike
