    Error recording activity over 15 days

      Hello,

      I’m writing to report an issue I’m experiencing with the synchronization of an activity. It’s a special activity, but I would like to know whether this is normal or not. Here’s the problem:

      I’ve been sailing for 15 consecutive days and completed a transatlantic crossing by sailboat. During those 15 days, I was recording the route, both to have the track and to keep records of speeds and averages.

      The issue appeared when I arrived and stopped the recording. The activity doesn’t upload to the phone, and when I go to the activity logbook on the watch, it crashes and restarts. Now that I have this error, I can’t sync anything, and I can’t connect the watch to the phone.

      In the first photo, five seconds after seeing this, the data disappears and the watch crashes.
      In the second photo, when I click on Retry, nothing happens; as a result, I can’t configure the watch.

        @Angusmil Congratulations! What phone and OS are you using? What settings did you use on the watch to record? Tour mode? Don’t reset the watch, hopefully someone can help here.
        @pavel.samokha Anything that can be done about this?

          Hi,

          Thanks for the response. Today, after three days, the data finally uploaded to the phone and synchronized. I can now access the watch settings again on my phone, and it’s no longer stuck trying to sync unsuccessfully. However, some issues still persist: when I go to the activity from the phone, I can’t see the track with video, clicking play results in an error. Also, when I try to access the activity data from the logbook on the watch, it crashes and restarts.

          I’m using a Xiaomi Android device. The activity is “sail,” and I had set the GPS to maximum quality for a few days and then switched to Ultra mode, I believe.

          In any case, I’m glad I can now use the watch with my phone properly. Fortunately, the Suunto Ocean watch can cross oceans! It would be great to be able to see the track video.
