As many have posted in the main 2.40.38 Topic, navigation for cycling is now less usable. Turn notifications come in the middle of or just after turns …

I just wanted to post a workaround that works for me. Maybe others will find it useful or have other workarounds to share (other than reverting firmware).

      Here are my steps:

      1. Use plotaroute.com to create your route with directions.
      2. Duplicate each direction twice and move them back 40 and 80 meters (or about 0.02 and 0.04 miles). This creates 3 notifications, 2 as turn approaches (at around 100 and 60 meters) and one at turn in case you missed them. I could not find a way to do this automatically …
      3. (optional) I sprinkle a few waypoints around at major milestones throughout the ride (such as major route crossings or the end of long road stretches).
      4. Save route
      5. Send Route to Suunto (a feature that lets you send the route to a linked Suunto account)
      6. In Suunto App find the route and enable turn by turn and send to watch.

All turns set in plotaroute are recognized and show 100 meters-ish and then again at 60 meter-ish before the turn.
