Two Questions about HR Strap
-
@Mff73 I haven’t swam in the belt but have been wearing it in some torrid weather & I sweat quite heavily so it’s had many total soakings with no issues at all

Sorry for re-using this thread, but maybe someone knows if it makes sense to turn off the wrist HR sensor when the HR belt is connected?
I did this on my last runs to maybe save battery life.
I once did a bike ride where the HR belt stopped recording, but the wrist sensor didn’t take over, so I think it’s not used anyway.
I haven’t been able to test it yet, so I thought maybe someone here knows. -
@Ecki-D.
Once a’ activity is started with one HR source, it doesn’t change.
I personnaly deactivated wrist HR for my running sportsmodes, to avoid having to check if the belt is well connected and activated and let the watch not show any HR at pre-start screen if my belt is “faulty”. Apart from this, if a belt is connected, it should use it by default over the OHR -
@Ecki-D. To complement, maybe that would help too. When you use the activity you don’t need to have HR wist additionally turned on, OHR starts automatically. The rest was perfectly explained by @Mff73 .
