Not sure what to think about the navigation
-
I have loaded a back to back route to the watch and started an activity, however the GPS arrow which is moving and displaying your position didn’t move during the whole activity. I’ve tried to create a new route (also with a different application) and have sent that to the watch, the behavior was the same.
As you can see in the bellow photo, the arrow has never passed the starting point. What is interesting is that I was receiving turn notifications for the whole time - but I’m rather not going to comment on them - as you can also see in the photo, I am not sure what is the info to turn in 416m good for. The cherry on top was a notification that the end is in 13,7km.
Also, on a back to back route there is an issue with the climb guidance - a lot of times when I was going uphill, the watch was showing me the opposite way - downhill.
In the end I’ve turned navigation off. Kinda disappointing to be honest, especially considering that I’m training for my first ultra.
Has anyone else experienced something like that?

@timecode Regarding the turn notification: After every turn a kind of "countdown " starts to indicate the next turn. In your case the next turn is 416m away, it should decrease during the run. Its somehow strange, but now that I am used to it I kinda like it

@timecode
I think it is a suunto app issue and not the watch itself.
Some mock location is sent to the watch by the app and watch map is not updating to real location (despite the fact that GPS is well working and recorded). -
@VoiGAS I see. I was under the impression it was throwing random numbers at me. Then out of nowhere End in 13,7km, then again random numbers every few seconds. It was not working well. I will turn it off the next time.
