Strava live segment
-
I switched my Polar Vantage V2 for a new Race S 2 weeks ago.
It’s a great watch but not for the the live segment function.
If the Suunto team read this, please update.
Thanks -
@vincentA I care quite a lot about live segments too. I think you saw my posts.
I think there is a lot of room for improvements. What’s is your experience using live segments function on Polar Vantage V2? Can you make a more detailed comparison of that vs. Suunto Race S?
Here is what I can tell by looking at https://support.polar.com/en/using-strava-live-segments-with-vantage-v
- Polar supports 100 segments vs. 20 on Suunto
- When approaching a segment, the segment name is displayed on Polar, but not on Sunnto
- Segment can be cancelled on Polar, but not on Suunto

@sky-runner I saw your post and I made a +1 to give a chance to be seen by the Suunto developer team.
You exactly right about Polar. If many segment start from the same area, you can refuse them untill you find the one you want.
Also, one the segment start, you can see a person icon who run on a segment line, you can compare with your previous PR icon also moving.
So it’s mean, you can see in a quick way where you are between you and your PR.
Very easy and clear.Polar will send me a new watch (my previous one add a problem). I’m thinking about sell my Suunto.
