Issue Observed with Garmin HRM Pro+

I’ve had similar issues with the latest Suunto Race software…

• Confirmed healthy battery in Garmin HRM Pro+
• Confirmed disconnected Garmin HRM Pro+ from phone.
• Confirmed Paired Garmin HRM Pro+ with Suunto Race (it actually seemed to have trouble getting to the paired state)
• Selected Basic Run Profile…
• Waited to see Sat and BT strap connection
• Selected a TrainingPeaks run workout as one of my SuuntoPlus items

HR strap becomes disconnected, in and out, and eventually never connected.

These are Pro Plus straps…

I have a very similar problem with an HRM Pro+ HR band and a Suunto Race S.

When I start the session, the heart rate band connection icon turns on and off. During the session, the heart rate field sometimes shows the data and sometimes nothing, just “- -“.

However, when the session is uploaded to the app, the heart rate data is displayed.

@hombreu I’ll answer myself with what I’ve discovered so far.

I haven’t found anyone else reporting anything similar… In addition to the HRM Pro+, I have a Favero Assioma connected as a bike power meter and a Stryd as a foot pod.

If I go into exercise options during a running workout and deactivate the foot pod, the heart rate monitor connects to the watch continuously without issue.

This, along with removing the heart rate monitor on my iphone, has allowed me to get Zone Sense working for the first time…

But if I reactivate the foot pod, it returns to the previous intermittent behavior…

@seanvk I have an HRM-Pro so maybe firmware issues with the + but mine works and does not disconnect.
